Description
Our houses are located on the bank of the Nagyküküllő, only 400 meters distance from the Reservoir Lake of Zetelaka (Zetea) and 300 meters from the Árpádhaza Csárda restaurant, where traditional Szekler flavours expect our dear guests.
All six chalets were built on separate plots and are very identical in design and furnishings, and can accommodate 4-6 people (maximum 8 people).
Our chalets have a fully equipped kitchen, a living room (with a pull-out sofa bed), a bathroom with a sauna, and upstairs with two double bedrooms (each with an extra mattress). The bedrooms have private bathrooms and terraces. Várlak Chalets also provide towels and bed linen, and on request, we can provide baby cots,baby bed linen and high chairs.
In the area, lovers of home-made, traditional flavours can freely choose from the offerings of various restaurants.
For each Várlak chalet, there is a yard of 500 m2. Each courtyard is separated by a small fence, which separates the individual accommodations from each other.
The courtyards of the Várlak Chalets were designed so that both children and adults can find the most suitable activity for them, so that the time spent at the accommodation to be as satisfying as possible. Gazebo, an outdoor grill and a cauldron ensure your relaxation. In addition, our chalets also have private wellness facilities, the "Szekler Jacuzzi" in the courtyard, which provides relaxation for 6-8 people, and the Sauna built into the bathroom can also be used. You can park your car in the parking lot of the courtyard.
Next to the Chalets, a soccer field, a basketball backboard and rim, and a ping-pong table are available to our dear guests, the use of which is free of charge. (We provide balls and ping-pong rackets too).

Babusgató petting zoo and animal park in Zeteváralja (Sub Cetate):

In the park, children and adults can get close to the animals, touch and pet them. In many cases, contact with animals can be therapeutic, as it has a beneficial effect on our physical and mental health. Visitors can get to know the animals of the backyard, as well as some exotic species, and children can also try riding our beautiful ponies.

Explore the waters of the Zetelaka (Zetea) dam with the rental kayaks and SUP stand-up paddle boards, but you can also go fishing, play sports, or enjoy the sunshine on the waterside!
Rafting - whitewater rowing on the Nagy-Küküllő (Târnava Mare) river!
3.8 km from the Várlak Chalet, 6 minutes by car
The tour starts from Zetaváralja, Deság (Sub Cetate, Deșag). In this part of the river, it can be said to be relatively quiet, so it is particularly suitable for the practical learning of what was explained in the theoretical preparation. After the start, the valley gradually narrows and the river takes on the character of mountain water in several places. There is no shortage of sights or excitement here, of course, without beeing in danger. After overcoming fast and slow sections, roars and sharp turns, the whitewater tour ends in Zetelaka (Zetea).
Árpád Háza Csárda (Restaurant)

The cozy restaurant, furnished with traditional Szekler furniture, is famous for its Szekler flavours and delicacies made from high-quality, homemade, organic products.
Skivarsag – Varság ski slope (Vârșag)

Szeklerland’s number one ski slope with a chairlift in the heart of Székelyvarság.

Mini Transylvania park
23 km from Várlak Chalet, 33 minutes by car
Travel around Transylvania in one day! The Mini Transylvania Park is the only multicultural, thematic model park in Romania, in which visitors can see miniature replicas of the most important historical buildings of Transylvania. The park is located in Szejkefürdő (Băile Szejke), at the exit of Székelyudvarhely (Odorheiu Secuiesc).
